Our Classical Christian Approach
Rooted in the trivium — Latin for “the three ways” — our classical education model caters to how children learn best at each stage.
Grammar (K-5): Young children memorize and repeat foundational facts across subjects. Students through fifth grade absorb facts and memorize them to prepare themselves for the later phases. During this phase, students learn through methods like singing, hands-on projects, and chanting.
Logic (6-8): Students develop critical thinking skills, using the facts from the grammar stage to form logical arguments. The goal of this phase is for students to be able to identify facts from fallacies, analyze arguments and data, and to think according to the rules of logic. Argument and questioning is utilized to mold student’s reasoning skills.
Rhetoric (9-12): Students learn to articulate their thoughts eloquently and persuasively. Building off their more independent thinking, students will learn to relay knowledge through prepared written and oral presentations.
A Distinct Purpose
Rather than merely transferring information from teacher to student, classical education shapes students’ appreciation for the goodness found in literature, art, music, and science. Our approach is deeply rooted in Scripture, fostering a Christian worldview.
We believe in the importance of community in Christian life and education. We encourage parents to actively participate in their children’s educational journey, as this partnership is vital to their success.
